SKIPPACK, PA - Schmidt Structural, along with sister company Penco Products, are in the final stages of installing 40 Stair Towers to access 15 galleries of 30’ high, 3-level shelving systems in the National Archives and Record Administration’s new St. Louis facility.
Built on 23.5 acres of land, in a 1.5 rated seismic zone, the St. Louis NARA facility totals 474,690 square feet, with storage space divided up into 15 separate large galleries. Each gallery has up to 3, 3-level stair towers ascending 16’ to the second level and 24’ to the third shelving level.
