Swing Gate
Schmidt offers swing gates and impact gates for a variety of mezzanine applications.
Impact gates serve the same purpose as swing gates but have a molded rubber bumper fastened to the outside of the gate so fork lift drivers can use the skid to open the gate,then back out and the gate will close. These are typically used in storage areas where there are no personnel on the mezzanine platform.

Schmidt's standard model is a dual swing gate with spring hinges, allowing a full clearance of 5'9" with both gates open. Gates are securely latched with two rugged cane bolts fastened through the mezzanine deck.
The spring hinge feature assures that both gates will return to the closed position when not held open, increasing employee safety. Gates are constructed from the same durable materials used for mezzanine guardrail systems, and are furnished in square tube or round designs, depending on the guardrail type selected.
