THE REVOLUTIONARY HANDLING SYSTEM
That Moves Material Five Times Faster
The HF Cradle System is a unique system that simplifies the storage and handling of long, thin, or heavy materials, including coils and finished goods inventory. Interlocking, stacking cradles are moved by a twin-hook overhead crane equipped with a spreader beam, for versatile placement and maneuvering in tight spaces. Often, material handling labor can be reduced by 50% or more through the increased efficiency of the HF design, contributing to a remarkable return on investment (ROI) of twelve to eighteen months.
The HF System Speeds Access, Improves Safety
When you need to access inventory at the bottom of a stack, HF can move it for you five times faster than with stanchion-type racks. Furthermore, HF requires only one operator and eliminates the safety hazards of climbing on top of stacks or coils.
In installations around the world, the HF system has reduced labor, increased usable floorspace, reduced material damage, increased safety, lowered insurance rates, and increased output. Schmidt Structural Products can provide custom application engineering to accommodate a variety of dimensional requirements or to handle exceptionally heavy or fragile products. This, together with outstanding load- bearing capacities, allows tremendous application versatility.
Interlocking Design Provides Secure Nesting
Designed for safety, convenience, and versatility, the compact, rugged HF cradle is manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM A36 structural steel. The interlocking design makes the cradle easy to access and compensates for imperfect operator placement to provide safe, secure nesting.
The Custom Spreader Beam Is A Key Element Of The System
Spreader beams are provided with built-in hooks for simple engagement of the HF cradle. A single spreader can be used to handle three different lengths of material. The spreader beam can be job-designed to handle multiple cradle rows, to increase length and load capacity. |
